Explosions Starve Black Holes

13 01 2009

Some new thought about the Black Holes, a bit contradictive maybe.  According to the article, black holes stay relatively idle until something big happens, like a star going supernova… and that makes them hungryyyy…. th_weirdface1
Haha, liked a quote: “Eventually gravity wins.”

It sounds possible,
if it is always sucking everything in, then it’s not sucking anything in since it’s in vacuum. unless there’s something for it to eat!!?

Yup i do use msn, same nickname at hotmail.
As for the article, they were talking about the gas giants that exploding provide ‘food’ for the black holes, but since the gas giants don’t quite explode that often it stays unknown why some black holes are active and some not.
Meh, science :D
